CSA week 7

CSA week 7 0714 2018

Definitely July, definitely CSA week 7, and definitely hot weather. Things are growing well, and our farmers have, yet again, packed our box with goodies.

CSA week 7 0714 2018For the first week, though, there are no radishes. This was an excellent spring for radishes! The box does have these:

  • romaine lettuce (2 big heads)
  • cucumbers
  • one round yellow summer squash
  • yellow crookneck squash
  • golden beets
  • broccoli
  • big bunch basil
  • garlic heads
  • cabbage
  • green onions
  • shallots
  • new purple potatoes

I see another batch of pesto in my future – I’m going to freeze it in little cubes; it’s always great to have pesto stored away. I don’t have special plans for the rest, though I do see a honking big salad in my future. I love fresh produce!
